The CHESS Users' Meeting 2003 was held:

June 24-25, 2003
Tuesday & Wednesday
Location: Clark Hall, 7th floor,
Cornell University, Ithaca, NY

The program featured an exciting agenda of invited user presentations, special topic workshops, a poster competition, and a chance to visit one of the area's many glacier-cut gorges (Follow this link for pictures taken on the hike!).

This year's workshops focused on two very active areas of research and development at CHESS:

1)  progress and applications of micro-beam techniques, and 2) novel data collection techniques for macromolecular crystallography.

As always, the CHESS users meeting provides a unique forum for users to share their ongoing research at CHESS, ideas for the future, and to discuss how CHESS can serve its user community more effectively.

Due to ongoing hardware upgrades by CESR in June, this year's tour of CHESS featured a rare opportunity to spelunk in the remoter depths of the CESR tunnel. Some of our natural rock formations date back over 30 years! CHESS tours took place on Tuesday and/or Wednesday afternoon.
