The Hike:
Between the afternoon session and dinner on Tuesday, about 15 hearty scientists hiked down the gorge path from Upper to Lower Treman State Park. The weather cooperated wonderfully -- it was sunny but not too hot. About half way down, we encountered a huge black snake climbing a tree right on the path.
