Abstract:
The dual mission of
the G-line Division of CHESS is to provide both a state-of-the-art
research facility optimized for time-resolved x-ray studies of evolving
materials for Cornell research groups and an environment in which
students of all levels (undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral) can
obtain intensive instruction, training, and experience in synchrotron
based x-ray techniques and technologies. In this talk, I will explain
the organizational structure, provide a brief survey of the experimental
capabilities, and introduce some of the students associated with G-line
and their scientific accomplishments.
